March 23rd 2023 - Easter Egg Decorating lesson
Learn how to decorate a Ukrainian Easter Egg. Have you ever looked at a Ukrainian Easter Egg, a pysanka, and wondered at its beauty and intricacy? We have 2 Ukrainian ladies who will instruct us how to make these beautiful eggs. We will decorate 2 eggs in a 2-hour session. It will be at the Brooklin Community and Library Centre Thursday March 23rd from 2 PM to 4. The cost will be $25. Don’t worry about your artistic talent. The ladies will show you how to create a beautiful pysanka. Registration will be at the January General Meeting.

We will be hosting a Progressive Euchre party at Michelle’s in downtown Whitby. The cost will be $15. There will be a light snack served at break time. You do not require a partner to participate. Prizes will be awarded for various accomplishments. Registration will take place at the January General meeting.

Traveled by bus from Whitby (Iroquois Park) to Stratford and back. Saw the 2:00 p.m. Billy Elliott play which has won the Tony award for Best Musical with music by Elton John. Story is about a motherless British boy who trades boxing gloves for ballet shoes.

Traveled by bus from Whitby (Iroquois Park) to four wineries in Prince Edward County for tastings. Enjoyed a lunch at Huff Estates Winery. On the bus ride back, shopped at the Big Apple stop for goodies brought home to eat along with the wine you bought.

In Kendal, got a tour of this agritourism farm. A history of the farm, a visit to the beehives, and enjoyed a boxed lunch from Krumbs Breadery. Explored the gift shop which had unusual items such as alpaca products.
July 17 - Westben Theatre, Campbellford.
“Abba Mia” concert with five singers and a band. Enjoyed songs from “Mamma Mia” show as well as ABBA hits.
June 18 - Lake Couchiching cruise from Orillia.
Sailed around the lake on the Island Princess and listened to Captain Jack tell funny stories about the area. Enjoyed a lovely lunch of slow roasted chicken on bed of seasoned rice, salad buffet bar included a finger dessert, as well as tea/coffee and soft drinks.
May 23 - Aga Khan Museum
77 Wynford Drive, Toronto. This is a beautiful museum of Islamic art, Iranian art and Muslim culture, built in a contemporary architectural style. Two tours – Art Gallery and Architecture- were given. Excellent restaurant on site served Middle Eastern food.

At VOS theatre in Victoria Hall, Cobourg. 55 King St. W., $27.33 includes tax. 40 seats reserved. There’s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. This musical comedy is winner of six Tony awards.

June 18 - Lake Couchiching cruise from Orillia.
Sailed around the lake on the Island Princess and listened to Captain Jack tell funny stories about the area. Enjoyed a lovely lunch of slow roasted chicken on bed of seasoned rice, salad buffet bar included a finger dessert, as well as tea/coffee and soft drinks.
May 23 - Aga Khan Museum
77 Wynford Drive, Toronto. This is a beautiful museum of Islamic art, Iranian art and Muslim culture, built in a contemporary architectural style. Two tours – Art Gallery and Architecture- were given. Excellent restaurant on site served Middle Eastern food.
April 27 - “Music Man”
At VOS theatre in Victoria Hall, Cobourg. 55 King St. W., $27.33 includes tax. 40 seats reserved. There’s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. This musical comedy is winner of six Tony awards.
